The G7+ Era: Safety Redefined

The milestone delivery comes as Cirrus celebrates its newest evolution – the SR Series G7+. Introduced in May 2025, the G7+ became the first piston-powered aircraft equipped with Safe Return Emergency Autoland as standard equipment. This revolutionary system allows anyone in the cabin to activate an autonomous emergency landing with the touch of a button.

The entire SR Series fleet – including the SR20, SR22, and SR22T – has accumulated more than 19 million flight hours since the first delivery. Perhaps most importantly, the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) has saved 280 lives, reinforcing the company’s unwavering commitment to aviation safety.

Dominating the Market

The numbers speak for themselves. According to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association’s 2024 figures, the SR22T led piston aircraft sales globally with 364 units delivered. The SR22 placed fourth with 145 sales, and the SR20 came in fifth with 121 deliveries. Combined, Cirrus produces approximately 700 new aircraft annually.
